SMS Rental (WA) Pty Ltd is very pleased to announce that it has executed a contract with Mt Gibson Mining Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mount Gibson Iron Limited, for the provision of equipment hire & maintenance services at the Iron Hill Project, located 75km North of Wubin in Western Australia.
Mount Gibson recently received final statutory approval to commence development of the project.
Services to be provided by SMS over an estimated 24-month period include the supply and maintenance of the primary load & haul fleet, including 4x Caterpillar 777F Dump Trucks & 1x Hitachi EX1200-6 Excavator.
Mobilisation to site is already underway, with operations to commence mid-March 2017.
The Iron Hill project award is significant to SMS. First & foremost, we welcome a new client into the business with significant growth potential; secondly the project brings commodity diversification into iron ore which has experienced a change of fortune over the past six months reaching as high as $110AUD per tonne in February 2017, and finally it stamps our position as the dominant, trusted & preferred mining services partner in Western Australia.
